What is the process in hiring Al-Rod Studio to create artwork for us?
On a per piece agreement, once we have an idea of what work you're wanting us to create for you, we'd provide you with a quote.  If you agree to our terms, I’d require a 50% deposit before I’d start the process.  Once paid, we'd move forward with all the stages of creating roughs and proof as we get closer to the final artwork.  Once we arrive at a final design, I’d require the balance paid, and I would then provide you with the final artwork files.

When I design logos, I work in a vector format using Adobe Illustrator, so that you can ultimately use the graphic however way you want without limitations on size or formats.  In the end I will provide you with a library of different versions (ie. Full color, B&W, Greyscale, text only, graphics sans text, with & without backgrounds, etc) of the logo and in different formats (EPS, JPG, PNG, TIFF, CMYK, RGB) so that you can quickly and easily apply your logo to wherever you need.

We also realize that creating artwork goes through a process of changes and tweaks.  My quote doesn’t limit you to any number of revisions.  I’ll provide you with proofs along the process to approve to ensure we’re on the right design path and we’ll work this til you’re completely satisfied, as long as we’re going along a reasonable track.  For instance, changes to colors, fonts, placement of graphic elements, line weight, etc. is cool to tweak, but getting close to a final design and then just scrapping it all to start fresh with a totally different design would NOT be included.

Do we own all rights to artwork you create for us?
In most cases, my quote to you will include full rights to the artwork I create for you.  Hence, you'll be able to use the artwork however you like, without the need to consult with me on any future use.  I'll usually state that in the quote.  There may be a case when only partial rights is part of the quote, but I'll make that very clear from the beginning of the process. In some cases, I'll provide you with different quotes specifying the different levels of ownership.

What form of payments do you accept?
When we send you an invoice, you'll be given options to pay with either a credit card, PayPal or wire transfer.  We can also accept Zelle.

Do you keep a copy of our artwork in case we lose our copy of it?
We do our best to retain copies of all work we've done, in case you ever need to have us work and make changes to the artwork, but we do not guarantee the storage of your artwork.  Sometimes we experience hard drive crashes, like everyone else and lose files.

Once we complete a project we'll provide a link to a Dropbox fold where you can download the files from.  Once you've acquired the file, it's up to you to make copies and keep them in a safe place where you can retrieve them.

Will you do any non-digital artwork, like a painting or wall mural?
Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.  In most cases we'll probably just refer you to other artists that might be a better fit for ya, or we'd work on the initial design but then have the final artwork executed by an artist more comfortable with the medium the finished piece will be done in.
